1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the SageBow website and to information we receive when you contact us about web design, development, local search, AI discovery, website care, or related services.
It does not apply to a client website that SageBow builds or manages on a client’s behalf. The client controls the information collected through its own website and is responsible for its own privacy notices and practices.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Contact and business information, such as your name, email address, phone number, company, website URL, service area, and job title.
- Inquiry and project information, including messages, goals, budgets, timelines, files, and other details you choose to share by email or during a call.
- Appointment information when you schedule a call through our third-party booking provider.
- Client information supplied in connection with a proposal or engagement. Additional terms in a signed agreement may govern that information.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, our hosting and security providers may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, requested pages, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP address, and diagnostic or security events.
This website does not currently offer user accounts or accept payments directly through the site. Please do not send payment-card details or other highly sensitive information by email.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- respond to inquiries, schedule calls, prepare proposals, and provide requested services;
- communicate about projects, our relationship, and relevant service updates;
- operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website;
- understand general website performance and how visitors find and use the site;
- protect SageBow, our clients, and others from fraud, abuse, security threats, or unlawful activity; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
4. How we disclose information
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information only as reasonably necessary to:
- Service providers: vendors that support hosting, security, email, scheduling, analytics, file storage, and business operations, subject to their applicable terms and privacy commitments.
- Professional advisers: accountants, attorneys, insurers, or other advisers when needed to operate or protect the business.
- Legal and safety purposes: authorities or other parties when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or needed to protect rights, safety, property, or the integrity of our services.
- Business changes: a buyer, successor, or adviser in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of business assets.
- With your direction: another party when you ask or authorize us to share information.
When you follow a link to an external service, including our scheduling provider, that service handles information under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review that policy before submitting information.
6. Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including to maintain business records, meet legal or tax requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary based on the type of information and our relationship with you.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and privacy rights
You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the instructions in the message or by contacting us. We may still send non-promotional communications about an active inquiry, project, or legal matter.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information; receive a portable copy; restrict or object to certain processing; or withdraw consent. You may also have the right to appeal a decision or complain to a privacy regulator.
To make a request, email mail@sagebow.com. We may need to verify your identity and may retain limited information where permitted or required by law. Authorized agents may submit requests where local law allows.
8. Children’s privacy
The site and our services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can address it.
9. International visitors
SageBow and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where privacy laws may differ from those in your location. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website, services, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised version here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how we handle information already collected, we will provide additional notice when required by law.
